You can delete your NEET Codex account at any time. This page is publicly accessible — you do not need to sign in to submit a deletion request, in line with Apple and Google requirements.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)
- Open NEET Codex on your phone.
- Sign in if you aren't already.
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion. Your account is queued for removal immediately.
Option 2 — Request deletion from this page
If you no longer have access to the app, submit the form below. We will contact you on this number to confirm deletion.
What gets deleted
- Your authentication record — the phone-number identity you sign in with.
- Your profile, study progress, bookmarks, saved test configurations, saved question sets, and app settings.
- All locally stored data on devices where you are signed in, including your saved Doubt Solver conversations (cleared on sign-out or at next launch).
What is retained
A small amount of data outlives deletion. This is set out in full in Section 7 of our Privacy Policy, and in summary:
- Payment and transaction records, where we are legally required to keep them for tax / GST purposes.
- Your phone number, against your AI usage count, for six months. Our free AI allowances are one-time and never reset, so we keep this link to prevent the same person deleting and re-creating an account to claim a fresh free allowance. It is erased automatically six months after deletion, and is used for that purpose only.
- Question issue reports you submitted, with the link to your account stripped. The report stays so we can fix the underlying mistake; it is no longer attributable to you.
Timeline & retention
Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days of submission. Within that window your account is deactivated and your data is purged from active systems. Encrypted backups may retain residual copies for up to 90 days before they are rotated out, after which no recoverable copy of your data remains.
Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (e.g. “X total users on this date”) may persist as they no longer relate to you as an identifiable person.
Subscriptions
Deleting your NEET Codex account does not automatically cancel an active App Store or Play Store subscription, because the subscription is held by Apple / Google, not by us. Please cancel it separately — see our Refund & Subscription Policy for steps.
